This seemingly modest 940 square foot residential ADU design for a homestead in Tigard is also a very BIG idea for inspiring the emergence of a better world. The vision for this project combines numerous cutting edge influences, including a full range of permaculture-related design choices. These include strawbale design in an ergonomic cylindrical form, extensive water catchment systems, passive solar heating and cooling systems, PV electric arrays, earthen floors, and all of it integrated with a south facing propagation greenhouse inspired by the earthship design concept. ​

Just had fun helping some clients and friends decide on the paint scheme for their newly acquired home in Buckman neighborhood! We also helped them restore porch columns, bases, and stair railing to fit the style of their 1904 home.
