Audubon Marmot Lodge
Portland, Oregon | 2005
The complex of buildings at Marmot is a lodge and retreat with a cluster of yurt cabins for group overnight stays. It serves as a retreat and summer camp destination with Audubon’s remarkable ecological focus. The new structures have replaced the original building to provide for updated spaces and facilities, larger gatherings, and expanded overnight capacity. The main building features a great community hall, upstairs lounge and meeting rooms for conferences, as well as a commercial kitchen that can provide meals for large gatherings. Situated on the brow above a valley, visitors are able to enjoy the view of the Mt. Hood forest through expansive windows and or by coming outside onto the vast decks.
