Sellwood Four-plex Community

For a young woman who is determined to host a snuggly and fun community, this project. It starts with two duplex buildings that mirror each other. Previously, the space in between was never considered as anything more than passive space with easy-to-maintain shrubs. The new design envisions a central gathering place for the enjoyment of all, play spaces including nature play and a treehouse, a winding pathway from the street lined by a water catchment-driven stream with small ponds and swales, with edible and native gardens.
