Treehouses
All around the Pacific Northwest
We are a permaculture-inspired design office, therefore we sometimes must build treehouses with kids. Or even without kids. The projects below are just some of the things we've made that show how to use natural materials like branches, and gently nestle a little structure into a tree without driving nails or screws into it. Or a big structure, sometimes. The larger one is at Kailash EcoVillage, and has been engineered. The rest of them, are as follows.
* Bird Nest Treehouses for urban fruit trees (dwarf).
* A climbing tower and play cave found at the Pickathon Festival,
* A kids clubhouse wrapped around a ground level tree truck at SE 9th & Sherrett.
* An octagon treehouse built on an old growth stump
* Kailash Ecovillage in SE Portland
* Moss
