This precious antique Victorian home has been rescued and transformed into an outstanding model for sustainable historic preservation at a neighborhood scale.  The great success of the project is due to the creative desire and vision of the client, who developed an all-star team of builders and designers including Joshua Klyber, Derek Smith, Sukita Crimmell, communitecture, and Stuart Marsh.  New features include an elevated floor plan to accommodate a habitable basement, an insulated block foundation wall, radiant heat earthen floors, fabulous ceramic tile installations, numerous recycled and natural materials, natural plasters, and innumerable artistic details using reclaimed bicycle parts.
