This short presentation distills the cause of place-making within the American Grid into a vision that is already inspiring people to launch themselves off the couch and into the streets.
As part of TEDx Santa Cruz: Activate, Mark Lakeman describes a grand but doable community-level strategy that is already underway across the American Grid. The processes of place-making and participation are reemerging from within place-based communities all over Portland as individuals build local networks, develop visions, and literally create places for gathering and communication.
